Disaster Recovery
Part of RCG Enterprises, Inc.’s mission plan is to work with The Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and serve as a force-in-readiness. Our roles and responsibilities to our stakeholder are VERY CLEAR; to have a rapid response when they call and to provide the necessary personnel, materials, services, equipment, and facilities for the Mission at Hand.
RCG Enterprises, Inc. knows that disaster can strike anytime, anywhere, in the form of hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, and floods, and we understand the importance of meeting the needs of displaced families. We will continue to meet those needs by utilizing various resources. RCG Enterprises, Inc. is proud to be a part of FEMA’s historic effort to help and house the victims of these disasters.
Manufactured Homes
RCG Enterprises, Inc. has been assisting FEMA with providing temporary housing to individuals whose homes were destroyed during the recent hurricanes. All materials and supplies are provided by RCG. RCG Enterprises, Inc. has the responsibility of transporting and setting up mobile homes, park models, and travel trailers. RCG ensures that the plumbing, HVAC, gas and electrical requirements are met which, in turn, guarantees that all temporary homes will pass final inspection and allow all applicable permits to be posted. RCG Enterprises, Inc. has continued to demonstrate excellence in the field by surpassing all expectations and continuing to be an example to other contractors.
Temporary Roof Repairs
One of RCG Enterprises, Inc.’s most visible missions with SHAW was Operation Blue Roof. The program provided temporary blue plastic sheeting installed over storm-damaged roofs until homeowners could make permanent repairs. RCG Enterprises, Inc. installed Blue Roofs on over 2 million square feet of damaged roofs after Hurricane Ivan in 2004.
Deactivation & Refurbishment
RCG Enterprises, Inc. has provided temporary housing to individuals whose homes were destroyed by hurricanes. RCG Enterprises, Inc. had the responsibility of providing all labor, material, equipment & supplies, consumables, and every item of expense required of the following: transporting & installing, commissioning travel trailers & mobile homes in accordance with provided specifications, and to provide maintenance services. These maintenance services include, but are not limited to, performing monthly preventative maintenance inspections, responding to routine and emergency maintenance calls, making repairs as required for units assigned to RCG Enterprises, Inc. with provided specifications, as well as providing unit deactivation & removal services in accordance with provided specifications. These specifications include, but are not limited to, performing site & unit preparation, unit removal and transport to designated areas, and returning site to pre-placement condition. RCG Enterprises, Inc. has continued to demonstrate excellence in the field by surpassing all expectations.
Debris Removal
Debris removal by the Army Corps of Engineer (ACE) was a FEMA-assigned mission involving the removal of downed trees, wood debris and other materials from public property and streets in 13 counties. The ACE mission was a synchronized effort that included contractors as well as city and county authorities.
Maintenance Services
RCG Enterprises, Inc. is also involved in the environmental assessment of Mobile Homes, Travel Trailer sites and commercial pad areas to ensure compliance with federal environmental laws. We work with FEMA with the same dedication and commitment to provide maintenance services and additional housing solutions at group sites. For all of our installations, our goal remains to ensure that occupants have a safe place to live and to provide maintenance services which include, but are not limited to, performing monthly preventative maintenance inspections, responding to routine and emergency maintenance calls and making repairs as required for units assigned to RCG Enterprises, Inc. with provided specifications. In addition we provide unit deactivation & removal services in accordance with provided specifications which include, but not limited to, performing site & unit preparation, unit removal and transport to designated areas, and returning site to pre-placement condition.
